Push Notifications

In order for Push Notifications to work, we must register your device token remotely when Communicator is in the background or closed on your iOS or Android device. To accomplish this, we transmit your device push notification token over a https – secure connection. This information is shared with no one and is erased immediately when the push instance expires (usually within 2-5 days in case there is no activity for that device) or when the user disables Push Notifications in the Application.

Data We Collect

The application can collect the following data:

1. User Avatar (profile picture) – The application uploads users’ avatars directly on the server. Avatars are only used internally for visual representation in the client applications and are not shared with any third parties

2. Chat Messages sent from the application – We process these files (which may include photos, videos and documents) only if the SIP account is configured to do so. Chat messages are stored on the server so they can be synced on any logged in device for the same extension.

3. SMS Message sent from the application – We process these files (which may include photos, videos and documents) only if the SIP account is configured to do so. SMS messages are stored on the server so they can be synced on any logged in device for the same extension.

4. Media Files and Documents usage – We process these files (which may include photos, videos and documents) only if the SIP account is configured to do so and only if you select the option to share a media or file attachment via a multimedia message (chat or MMS) or fax. Depending on your operating system, you may need to grant separate access related permissions to the application in order for the application to access files. Fireline Communications. only accesses those files that have been shared with the Application. They are securely uploaded to a server so the message recipient can download them later. The files are also automatically deleted on the server side once a predefined period expires which is configured on the server.

5. Contact Usage – When you accept permission to access your contacts in the applications, you give us access to the following personal information from your address book:

Contact names
Contact email
Contact address
Contact telephone

The application uses this information to populate your contact data in the app and to enable the shared contact feature in case you wish to share contact details with another participant of chat conversation

Depending on how you interact with us, this log data may include your IP address, device information and settings and information about your activity in the Services (such as the date/time stamps associated with your usage and other actions you take such as which features you se), device event information (such as system activity, error reports (sometimes called “crash dumps”), and hardware settings)

7. Device Data – We collect device data such as information about your computer, phone, tablet, or other device you use to access the Services. Depending on the device used, this device data may include information such as your IP address (or proxy server), device and application identification numbers, browser type,
hardware model, operating system, and system configuration information.
